Magnesium oxide is generally used in oriented steel coatings, and silicon steel sheets are used in motor cores and transformer coils. In order to better realize the requirements on the electrical and physical properties of the transformer core, the silicon steel sheet has a continuous high temperature heat treatment and tempering process of 1200-1250 degrees in the manufacturing process of the oriented silicon steel sheet. The atomic structure of the iron metal material realizes the regular orientation placement, and together forms an excellent insulating film on the surface of the silicon steel sheet. This process must take 7 days to achieve. Under such a long-term continuous high temperature, in order to prevent silicon steel The sheet becomes iron lump, and the silicon steel sheet is generally coated with a continuous high temperature heat treatment and tempering insulating agent to prevent the silicon steel sheet from forming agglomerates. Generally, magnesium oxide is added to this type of coating.

Silicon steel coatings use light 98 or heavy 98 magnesium oxide or analytically pure light magnesium oxide as additives. The proportion of magnesium oxide in the coating is 25%. The key to the specification of magnesium oxide index values ​​is SO4, chloride ion, and iron. There should be less ions, adjust around 0.01%. The key is used as the continuous high temperature heat treatment tempering insulating agent in the silicon steel manufacturing process, the insulating layer coating preparation agent, and the dephosphorization agent and desulfurization agent in steel.
